O.K. after three days straight of Mateo and Sarah running around the house and the yard in their swimsuits, I finally let Cristian take the kids to the pool over the weekend. Since it has been in the mid-80s for the last several weeks, the water was actually pleasant (according to Cristian and kiddos). WE DO NOT GO SWIMMING IN DECEMBER/JANUARY! That activity is reserved only for the CRAZY tourists (like we used to be) who vacation in Orlando over the holidays and have their nice heated time-share or Disney resort pools. The community pool must have been nice because they were at the pool for a good 2 1/2-3 hours and IT IS NOT HEATED. And yes, I know exactly how long they were there because that's how long I was able to NAP . . . IN PEACE.

Thursday,
The hard freeze warning is now in effect from 10 pm this evening to 9
am est Thursday.
The coldest temperatures are expected early Thursday morning with lows
reaching the mid to upper 20s. A long duration of below freezing
temperatures is expected, with temperatures remaining below 32 degrees for up
to 8 to 10 hours, and below 28 degrees for up to 4 to 6 hours,
especially in the rural areas.
The hard freeze warning means temperatures below 28 degrees are
possible for several hours or greater. These conditions can kill sensitive
vegetation as well as harm exposed water pipes as well as small animals
left outdoors without shelter.
A lake wind advisory is in effect until 5 pm est this afternoon. Strong
and gusty winds will create rough and hazardous boating conditions on
area lakes and the intracoastal waters.

Now, are those pictures of the pool in your neighborhood? Because we are totally crashing and coming to swim there one afternoon when we come to FL.
I can't believe that cold spell - you guys aren't used to it so you will freeze your behinds off!!
Yes, that's our community pool. Part of the reason I love, love, love my neighborhood. The lower picture with the shipwrecked boat is taken looking out the window from the clubhouse where I teach my music classes.
Ohhhhh I am jealous!
p.s. I tried a BK Veggie Burger today thanks to you. Not my favorite. Luckily, I had a few cinnamon bears to wash it down!
Why can't you throw those kids in their suits and put them in the tub?
Not the same?
I say crash the pools at Disney.
Sorry about your weather change...I live vicariously through you!
Dear Heidi,
I got your comment. I got back from Tahoe yesterday (Paige left early) and I feel overwhelmed by the amount of blogging ahead of me. What should I do?
Your pool is incredible. I can't believe it is yours.
I'll come visit with Shannon. I can NOT believe that's your neighborhood pool!!
WOW that is some pool! And sneaking into the Disney resort pools sounds so nice right now. I'm freezing.
