Cristian and I spent a delightful 24 hours in Cocoa Beach over the weekend. It was truly divine. My friend Romina watched the kiddos. It was Sarah and Mateo's first time to sleep over at anyone's house besides relatives in UT or CA. We redeemed Marriott points for a free night stay at the Courtyard Marriott which was 200 yards from the beach.
Cristian brought a stash of movies to watch, but I just wanted to hang out and enjoy Discovery Channel, Lifetime, and all my other favorite cable/satellite channels I have gone without for almost 2 years since we cut our cable. I finished reading 
and read 
from cover to cover. All in all it was an awesome weekend. And yes, we do have to make an effort to get away for an entire 24 hours BY OURSELVES a little more often than once every 18 months to 2 years.
