Since Cristian is going to be in Brazil for Mateo's 4th birthday, we decided to celebrate a little early. Mateo got to open his birthday presents on Friday night. And P.S. what drugs was I on when I happened to be picking out the perfect presents for my birthday boy?
- Deluxe Marbles over 160 marbles + shooters
- Lego Spider Man/Super Heroes set 75 pieces
- K'Nex for Kids Footed Friends 50 pieces
- Jenga game 48 pieces
On Saturday afternoon, we went bowling for Mateo's birthday. Cristian and Tino wanted to play at least 2, if not 3 games. I insisted we only play 1 game. (Might I add that the last 4 times we have gone bowling, "we" has been the kids and I so my insistence that we only play one game had much more muster and power than Cristian's opinion and/or desires). After about the 5th frame and at least 1 1/2 hours later, Cristian agreed with me that bowling one game was plenty

I'm impressed that Sarah can hold that ball. Sometimes they're even a little heavy for me!
You have to remember that Sarah is a sensory Kiddo. One of the advantages of her sensory processing disorder is she is extremely strong . . . Hulk-like strong. Sometimes that works to her advantage, sometimes not so much. And P.S. She only dropped the 9 pound ball on Tino's toe ONCE. That was at the very beginning of the game, but Tino recovered just fine.
And notice the ketchup on her fingers from the french fries. She was very particular that her ketchup fingers not touch the bowling ball.
All those pieces ought to keep Teo occupied for a very long time! Happy Birthday Sweet Mateo, we miss you!!!

Cool candy canes! Love a blog I can eat. Sorry about the marbles, I have them too and they are all over my house. I'm just throwing them away. some day I'll buy more. And throw those away too.

Sounds like you like celebrating birthdays the way I like to - having the kid pick an activity and NOT having to throw a birthday party (which to me is like hell on earth).
I love bowling!!! Isn't it one of the best family activities. glad you had lots of fun!!

I am totally excited about what my kids' new Christmas time means for Me and my free time. (I'm ignoring the fact that I will have to find a place to put the new time-occupiers.)
I suggest you use a rake to pick up those pieces while you come down from the crack high you were on when you bought that stuff.
