Cristian graduated from UCF! Did you know that UCF is the fourth largest university in the United States? I didn't. Did you know that 4th largest universities also means 4th LONGEST graduation ceremonies in the U.S.? Cristian was on the second row on the right hand side, about 4 people in from the center aisle. This means he walked about 25 minutes into the 2 hour and 30 minute ceremony. By that time, the kids had eaten their popcorn, nachos, and drank all there was to drink. Once they heard his name called and did the cheering thing, they were ready to go. They were not too happy when they found out we had to stay for the entire ceremony and that Papi couldn't sneak out and meet us at Outback Steakhouse. There were 1500+ that graduated, but I really think it was more like 15,000.
We are very proud of Cristian for this great accomplishment. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pre-graduation ceremony pictures. The kids are hot, sweaty, tired, and SO OVER IT in all the pictures, but I wanted to record this for posterity.

Before we make Cristian feel too badley about being in the longest graduation in history ... let me remind you of one at Brigham Young University where there really were about 15,000 graduating and you were in the largest department (14,999) and all had to have their moment in the spotlight.
As you may recall, there was more than ample time to take Anne out to not only walk the halls, go potty, go to the Cougar Creamery, watch them milk the cows, freeze the ice, churn the ice cream, go to the library, read War and Peace (in Russian), drive to Lake Powell, water ski for the entire day and still have to wait to get to the H's. Now that was a long graduation! Anne was fine, but I had a meltdown along with 15,000 other proud fathers.
Congratulations Cristian!. We are proud of your accomplishments.

How nice to have this accomplishment! And how nice to have extra time back that the classes, studying, projects took up to now have with family. A great way to start the summer. (but then again it is summer year round in Florida-so whatever.)
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wow, very good job Christian! I'm sure all that studying will pay off! And Long graduations, and kids, not a good combo. At least you are the nice mom who actually bought her kids food. I'm that mom that would of only sneaked in a pack of skittles for them all to share hoping it wouldn't go to long. You definately get points for that! And you look good with the family! And keep thinking happy thoughts during meltdowns.
